Christer Fuglesang is Sweden’s only astronaut. He has been to space twice – in 2006 and 2009. Both times he visited the International Space Station ISS.
Christer is currently employed at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. There he works as director of the university’s space center and with the master’s program “Aerospace Engineering”. He also conducts his own research.
Previously, he has, among other things, worked at the European Space Technology Centre, ESTEC in the Netherlands. There, Christer had a key role in defining and prioritizing European research projects within the framework of manned space travel, such as experiments on board the ISS space station.
